Tamarind extract?

Soak the tamarind in a cup of water, squeeze it to pulp in the water. Strain the tamarind juice into another vessel through your fingers. Add another cupful of water to the tamarind pulp and extract the remaining juice a second time. Mix the first and second extracted tamarind juices. We can store the tamarind extract refrigerated for 8-10 days and use it as needed.
