Little things

Dear all - May God bless you and your loved ones with good health, peace, love, wealth, and all the happiness you wish for. Happy new year!

Sharing with you some of the achievements in 2006 at Feed a Hungry Child campaign.

a) A new blog dedicated to this purpose (work in progress)
details are here - http://feedahungrychild.blogspot.com

b) A well-committed project team working together on various aspects of the project.
details are here - http://feedahungrychild.blogspot.com/2006/12/project-team-members.html

c) Very specific measurable goals - 3 things that we exactly want to achieve in 2007
- Get the book 'You can Cook' published (365 traditional heirloom recipes, all from the public domain, 300+ authors).
- Sell 100,000 copies.
- Help feed 1000 hungry children - daily.

d) Group book project updates: recipe contributions received so far - 62 recipes; long way to go with this; deadline for submissions is January 31, 2007.

Folks - "You can Cook" recipe book will aim not only to bring in revenues for the feed a hungry child campaign by preserving all those favorite traditional heirloom recipes, but also to stir the conscience of many responsible people motivating individuals and organizations across the world to expand their mission and join the fight against global poverty. We urge all the food lovers, affluent and influential people, philanthropists, and organizations to pitch in and help this invaluable service. It is our social responsibility to support one hungry child a day.

Here is a poem by Ms. Craigie called little things.

"Little drops of water,
Little grains of sand,
Make the mighty ocean
And the pleasant land.

Thus the little minutes,
Humble though they be,
Make the mighty ages
Of eternity.

Thus our little errors
Make a mighty sin;
Drop by drop the evil
Floods the heart within.

Little deeds of kindness,
Little words of love,
Make our earth an Eden,
Like the heaven above."
